Conducting Monteverdi’s masterpiece for the second time at Trentino Music Festival, in collaboration with acclaimed Venetian stage director Patrizia di Paolo. This will be the premiere of Tim Ribchester’s new orchestration of the work, written for sixteen soloists in consultation with the existing manuscripts, and inspired by the Trentino tradition of introducing talented singers and orchestra players to the theatricality of baroque opera.

In April 2021 the Lyric Opera of Chicago premiered three scenes from this version for their “Rising Stars in Concert” livestream.
